Nichole's Closet Refresh Summer 2018
All simple & can be layered to achieve that "cool girl I didn't even TRY look". You know I love a good gold piece!
I included several Levi's options, everyone raaaves about Levi's. Wanted to add a pair to your collection!
A must have item on the list we created for you. I included some high waist options to pair back with cropped tees etc. There are a few that are shorter in length but nothing crazy short!
I didn't see anything like the below skirts in your closet & since you wanted to venture into a fem look without looking crazy girly I figured we should give the midi length a try. Hear me out, when paired with converse/tennis shoes & a tee they look effortlessly cool & hip vs girl on the farm.
For belts, measure your waist and add 2" to get your belt size. Some of these belts will be worn with dresses I.e. the black dress you wore the day after your wedding & the "prarie" looking dress Jordan doesn't love (lol). Belts worn with pants/denim will typically be a diff size than a waist belt (belts worn with dresses). BUT measure the two areas of your bod and compare them size wise, I feel like you can get away with buying one size across the board but just make sure!
I love the idea of a guitar strap cross body for you! Has a hip/modern feel & is just the right amount of edgy. Also included basket bags & more basic options in lighter colors for you to mix with some of the outfits we put together.
I know we needed T-shirts in your closet but I also included a variation in shapes. The boxier tops with the higher necks will pair well with most of the bottoms already in your closet. I.e. the black leith pair or the denim chambray pairs & even the wide legged/straight legged denim like my fav black ones. Just remember to add a necklace or statement earrings to pull it all together. I love the tanks because the fabrics all seem so yummy and a few have a slight ruffle on the straps (I'd love to see that on you, it'll be a nice change if you're not opposed to it).
Also added a few long sleeved blouse options. We could pair these back to some of the pant options I've given you above & the existing ones in your closet! I love the ruffle neck trim peasant blouse with possibly the Rebecca taylor culottes in your closet OR the green wide leg pant above.
Picked a few that caught my eye. The striped dresses seem to be a no brainer for you, both flattering shapes and can be worn to work with a mule OR boots and a sweater on top in the Fall/Winter season. I looove the June & Hudson dresses, they're feminine and fit beautifully esp the white one since its cut to show off more of the shoulders and theres a seam right below the bra line making it insanely flattering. The FP dresses are both the same, black and blue options and I've heard great reviews. Pairs really well with a lace bralette and layered necklaces. The denim dresses are an easy option, throw on for a no fuss dress look! the Madewell one would look great with a little neck scarf and your hair pulled back.
I included a bunch of light colored shoes, felt like you needed a variation in shape & style but also versatile. The low heel with one strap across the foot is really in, looks flattering on and can be paired back to the denim styles as well as skirts and dresses! White shoes are a must, they've been on trend for over a year now (I waited to see if I should get on the bandwagon) and they're most def here to stay! They look good in a slide, mule or bootie.
I've been waiting for the Madewell Green jacket to come back in stock in your size and it has! Also added two denim options since I know you needed a new one.
Curling wand, jewelry stand, shoe rack & hamper!
